Philanthropy
With the funds raised from our activities, we in turn, donate to many other non-profit organizations in the Valley.
Scholarships
We offer scholarships to graduating seniors for post-high school education, to include college and trade school pursuits.
Sight and Hearing
Lions Club International is known for championing sight and hearing preservation and treatment. Our own Club supports the Southern Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Center in Medford. We perform thousands of free of sight and hearing screenings yearly and refer those with deficits to doctors for further evaluation. Through our eyeglasses recycling efforts, we are able to help the Sight & Hearing Center provide free eye-wear to hundreds of people each year.
Christmas projects
We have a wonderful time over the Holidays beginning with the Jacksonville and Central Point Christmas Parades, Sponsorship of the local Crater Foundation Gala, our Annual Christmas Dinner and our Christmas food drive where we assemble food bags for shut-ins and others in need through the local non-profit Food and Friends.
Elementary School Educational Efforts
We sponsor local educational endeavors, including art contests, spelling bees, American Flag education, and the annual Jacksonville Elementary School Musical productions at the Britt Festival amphitheater.
